I just thought I'd let everyone here know that I've added the news feed from theAHL.com to LJ, so if you want to add it, the username is ahlnews

I've seen a lot of visiting celebrities and politicians use Amerks' games as publicity tools before. Korn stuck around for a whole period, Ronald Regan famously flubbed the nickname... But I gotta give Spitzer credit for sticking around for the entire game.

Still he and Golisano should know, I appreciate your interest in hockey, but I'm still not going to vote for ya. ;)

Oh, and he has his own t-shirt line now too. Hehe!

Daniel Paille of the Rochester Americans entered the AHL Chat Room to talk about the the Amerks hot start to the 2006-07 season and his experiences with the Buffalo Sabres.

Do you have any pre-game rituals that you do before you take the ice for a game or any odd superstitions that you do before a game? -- Sara from West Seneca, N.Y.

Not really, I got one superstition really, I don't take pre-game naps or anything like that, I try to relax myself by watching tv, usually with someone else. I do try to get a hot chocolate at a Starbucks before every game or get to a Tim Hortons, that would be my only thing.

We are a student group at Boston University's School of Management who are desperately trying to finish a project so that we can eat turkey.

One final (ridiculously short!) survey for anyone that is involved in hockey, figure skating, or ice skating of any kind. If you can take this 2 minute survey you will be providing us with a vital piece of information to complete our project. Thanks in advance for your time!

We are a group of students at Boston University who are working on a project that involves the ice skating industry. If you play hockey, figure skate, or skate recreationally, it would be a huge help if you could take two minutes to take this survey for us! The survey is located here: http://websurveyor.net/wsb.dll/34802/skating.htm

Thank you very much!

We are a group of juniors at Boston University who are completing a business development project. We’re developing a "new product" in the ice skating industry. It would be a great help if you could take our five minute survey, located at http://websurveyor.net/wsb.dll/34802/iceskatingsurvey.htm. One of our requirements is to collect 500 of these surveys so your five minutes means the world to us.

Thank you in advance for the time!

Best regards,

Team officials haven't been able to ease the roster logjam with the Rochester Americans, so defenseman Alexei Semenov cleared a spot on blue line all by himself

Hmmm kinda sounds like Jeff Jillson, only Jeff didn't leave town or get suspended. He just didn't want to be down here in Rochester, which was made very clear when he told either his agents, or the people sending him back down to Rochester that he refused to come back.

That's really cool how their doing that. I'm personally a fan of Mick's, and think it would be awesome. Too bad they won't get anyone up here in Rochester. Haha.

Also, speaking of Falcons, can anyone tell me how Sylvain Dufresne is doing up there? It would be cool to hear how Sly is doing...

How is everyones team doing? How many wins-losses has each team had and how many points?

Rochester is up 4-0 with 8 points. I'm really impressed with this team this year. And...scoreeeeee. Mark Mancari scored the first goal of the season! Haha. Loveeee him. Lmao.

What is going on Worcester? I haven't seen them on any schedules and my favourite player was recently sent down from the Sharks and I'd like to see him play, but Worcester isn't on any schedule I've seen.
